BellSouth eAgent > Hello. Welcome to BellSouth Virtual Agent.

5_miller@bellsouth.net > hello

5_miller@bellsouth.net > Can you help me?

BellSouth eAgent > Yes

5_miller@bellsouth.net > Well please do so

5_miller@bellsouth.net > hello?

BellSouth eAgent > I have not received a response from you in a while. Please let me know if you need more time or are having problems with the eAgent session. Otherwise, the session will be ended. You can reinitiate the eAgent session by clicking the eAgent Chat icon. Thank you for using Bellsouth Internet Service. Have a nice day!

5_miller@bellsouth.net > what?

5_miller@bellsouth.net > is anyone even there?

BellSouth eAgent > I cannot help you unless I know what the problem is.

5_miller@bellsouth.net > Well why don't you ask me what the problem is Einstein?

BellSouth eAgent > I already did.

5_miller@bellsouth.net > Could I get your name please?

5_miller@bellsouth.net > ?

5_miller@bellsouth.net > hello?

BellSouth eAgent > Hello. You have reached BellSouth FastAccess DSL eAgent chat. How may I assist you?

5_miller@bellsouth.net > I need help receiving email in Outlook 2003

5_miller@bellsouth.net > I can send fine, as far as I can tell

5_miller@bellsouth.net > Just can't receive

BellSouth eAgent > What error are you receiving.

5_miller@bellsouth.net > Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) email server

BellSouth eAgent > Please copy and paste the entire error message

And we go on to a bunch more talking that they never get resolved.

For the record the site asked me to detail my problem before even opening up the chat window so the operator had an idea of the problem.

So the eAgent is just a bot? Seems odd that it would make grammatical errors like that if it is.

I had a teacher named Mr. Moran once, but I've never heard someone called a "moran" before.

I guess it takes a moron to know a moran.

Quick - everyone send 5_miller@bellsouth.net an email with the words "You're a moran!" in it.

I thought that as well, until he mentioned that he detailed the problem before entering the chat session so that the operator would know what the problem is ahead of time.
