Motorola doesnt have documentation for SB5100 online.

Cable goes into SB5100 cable modem (has 1 ethernet and 1 usb port)
SB5100 ethernet --> WAN port of Belkin router
PCs connected to belkin router wirelessly

belkin acts as dhcp.. everything works good... but when i go to belkin's setup, to open some "virtual servers" (to route port xxx to my pc's "private ip address" on the belkin LAN), belkin loses its WAN connection ..everything on WAN 0s out - wan subnet, wan ip, default gateway, dns address, etc

-i connected laptop directly to Moto modem. checked to see if it i could access its settings page...maybe turn off dhcp or somethign to make it a pass-through/bridge... it doesnt have any setup

help plz

Moved to Networking.

I think SB5100 is a cable modem it is Not a combo Modem Router so there is no need to set any thing.

I would not configure a Router via the Wireless, plug in a wire connection for this purpose.

If you are setting the Belkin correctly, I would guess that the Router is busted.
