IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
RE: RACKMOUNT UPS RECALL
Belkin Corporation has identified a potential problem with several of its rackmount uninterruptible power supply units (models F6C110-RKM-2U, F6C150-RKM-2U, F6C230-RKM-2U, F6C320-RKM-3U) that were purchased prior to July 1, 2004. The UPS outputs were wired incorrectly creating a reverse polarity configuration. If the units have been installed properly using legal grounding procedures, it is highly unlikely that any problem would be detected under normal operating and maintenance conditions. Although Belkin does not know of any such instances, it is possible that the reverse polarity configuration could result in electrical shock.
Although we do not believe there is any immediate danger to users of these products, in the interest of absolute public safety, we request that you return any of these products that you may have directly to Belkin Corporation. Once returned, we will replace each unit free of charge with a unit of equal or greater value. Please note that this is a voluntary recall issued in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, and that there have been no instances of personal injury or property damage relating to such products.
If you have any questions regarding the voluntary recall of these products, please contact the Belkin Customer Service Center at (800) 223-5546 extension 2064 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
This recall does not apply to any 220 volt Belkin UPS units sold in Australia or Europe.
