Quick back story. My old D-Link 4300 G router died. I had a friend who recently moved and no longer needed his Belkin N750 DB F9K1110 v1 so he gave it to me.
It has latest firmware installed.

I have 2 original Xboxes running xbmc that I use to stream my ripped DVDs to. One is in my living room and the other is in a upstairs bedroom. They both use Rosewill RNX-GX4 w/ DD-WRT routers in client bridge mode.
When I try to stream a movie it will play for maybe a minute or so and then all the sudden stop..I think the wifi is dropping the connection.

I have used inssider and chose a channel with the best Link Score. In my case it was on channel 1 with a link score that fluctuates between low 90s to 100 in the upstairs bedroom.
I have tried setting the belkin to G only with protected mode on and off as well as wmm/qos on and off but still cant get movies to play.

Is there any other settings I should try or is the Belking just so crappy that it'll never work right?

Before the Belkin I had a Linksys E3500 and it worked perfect for streaming movies to the xboxes but I returned it for a refund after getting the belkin.

thanks

This is an old thread I know, but I am posting an update just encase it helps someone else.
After my Linksys E2500 died recently I decided to dust off the Belkin N750 DB.
The router wasn't very stable to say the least plus I had issues when trying to stream media.
I searched for an update for the stock firmware, but found none. However I did stumble across a third party firmware based off of Asus called Padavan.

I have only had it installed for 2 days, but so far it seems stable and I have had zero issues.

This is probably old news to most, but it was new to me.

anyways thanks
