So I order a USB 2.0 3-port PCI adapter card from them thru that website and they sent me a 2-port (missing the internal port on the opposite side). The website clearly states 3-ports ALL OVER that page so it's not a matter of a mistype. Anyway, I call to complain about not getting what I ordered... even the part number matches, but my damn card only has 2 ports.

First time this lady says ok we'll replace the unit, but you'll have to send it back to us first. I'm like... ok that's fine, you're going to pay for shipping right ? "NO". I say, "but I didn't receive what I ordered"... and she says... "ok, let me forward you to the ecommerce team". She does that and I immediately get someone's voicemail.

Not being satisfied with that (for fear that they'll change the website), I call right back again, getting some other (nicer-sounding) lady on the phone. Same deal... we'll ship you a replacement after you send that one back. "You're going to pay for shipping right?"... "No... (5 second pause) wait... yes we *should* pay for shipping..." *CLICK*.

YEAH OK, FVCK YOU BELKIN.

I'm keeping it... don't need the hassles... not for me anyway. It's the fact that Belkin would do that to paying customers... fvcking pisses me off.

How hard is it to put it back in the box and write "Return to Sender" on it?

Quit whining and send it back that way. If they give you trouble, canel the payment you made with your Credit Card.

Whining about how they treat customers ? It's not something I can wait another week on. I'm not pissed that they sent me the wrong part or have false advertising. I'm pissed that they treated me like that. You'd think they're some small company out of Taiwan or something.

No, that's why you write "Return to Sender" on the box and send it back.

That's also why you always pay by credit card - so you can cancel the charge
That's also why you always open boxes carefully - so you can reseal them and send them back as if unopened.

Again, I can do that if I really cared enough... the adapter plastic packaging is unopened... I just unpacked the brown box it came in.

Nope, don't need that 3rd internal port at the moment.

Does nobody care about this kind of business practice? Reputable companies send you an RMA form along with pre-paid stickers so you can send it back since it was their mistake from end to end... they don't hang up on you as you talk to them.

I don't know what I'd believe. The pic on the page shows two ports, the one on the enlarged image shows 3 and the page is titled 3. Sounds shady. Funny thing is my friends and I have had good experiences with Belkin. We've bought PCMCIA NICs before that were broken (not from a retail store) and after shipping them to Belkin we've received replacements quite quickly and without hassle.
