121.87 shipped w/google checkout @ buy.com. going for 150 plus $21 shipping @ newegg, this is even less than the 1000va model @ newegg shipped, for some reason the 1000Va is more shipped @ buy.com as well, seems as least warm to me, i was in the market for one, living in Nyc in the summer and all, just thought i'd pass it on for those that need it. doesn't look half bad for a ups either, it's slim and fanless, easy to tuck away and forget about.

Edit: Xtra 5$ off if you're new to buy.com. Good till the 31stlink:gift:

pretty cold deal when you add shipping in. It retails it seems for $160 by doing quick google search

It's 121.87 shipped, 131 if you're not new to google checkout, thats cheaper than the 1000va model @ newegg, it surely isn't cold...

Did you even click the link?

One thing to keep in mind about Belkin, when you first turn it on it has really bad smell for first couple of days. I have 2 belkin and both had this smell

Will this keep three or four 1U servers running for a few hours (just the servers, no monitors)?

Is there a better deal/solution out there or should I jump on this?

The reviews are mostly good, theres a good deal of them on buy.com and other sites. I'm not experienced with the power demands of servers so dunno if it's up to the task

Will not come near a "few hours", more like a "few minutes". 1500VA will hold for a little while for 1 system but even then it won't make the "few hours" for even 1. I'll give you an idea, I have a 3GHz P4c, 2GB RAM, 600W power supply, 4 disk system. I also have a 20" LCD, a linksys wireless router and a cable modem all on that 1500VA battery backup. I will get about 30 minutes. Even with all the extra stuff I have listed, it no where near comes close to the load that 4 servers would have. You need to be looking at 5000VA+ systems and even then you will only get minutes not hours.

If you need hours, you need to look at a generator. That is just the nature of the beast. Battery backup is meant to keep the off/on, or couple minute brownouts from affecting your systems. Trust me I am an IT professional.
