Belkin 1200VA

How long should my Belkin 1200VA UPS last on batteries?
I have a Dell 2005FPW hooked up on it (assuming it's on) and my computer, plus some little crappy alarm clock (probably takes no power)

Their Bulldog software reports 43% load on the UPS with the computer/monitor on.

I have a Athlon XP-M @ 1.74v
1x WD 7200rpm
2x Seagate 7200.8 300gb
2x Seagate 7200.8 250gb
1x Maxtor 250gb
4x Seagate 7200.7 200gb
Chaintech 5900XT
2 raid cards
8x 80mm coolermaster "rifle" fans
2x 50mm panaflo (i think) fans
1x 120mm cooler master sleeve fan
It's running off a Sparkle 550W EPS12v PSU (63% efficiency at max load).

When I test it it lasts only about 10 minutes. I thought (assuming 43% UPS load is accurate) it would last at least 15-20 minutes.

Any guesses? Thanks

Welcome to the AT Forums.

One doesn't buy Belkin power products if one cares for his equipment. Belkin exists solely to improve the bottom line of the big box stores. Cheap parts make for high margins. Punt it on ebay and get some real power equipment. Another learns the hard way...

If ultra is the same that foisted the X-Connect on an unsuspecting public, then I put them into the same bag as Belkin. But worse as Ultras has no purpose in life and is part of Tiger Direct - ugggh.

yes, the same ultra. haha. their specs on their PSU's look good, and lifetime warranty too. they suck too?
