How exactly is he avenging his sister's death by killing the guy and then killing himself? Goddamn people are fucking dumb.

And Ziegland didn't do anything to her except break up with her. She's the one who killed herself. The brother should have shot his sister for killing herself.

What particular drugs were these "sources" high on? So much fail in this story I can only assume you are trolling.

For starters even if this did happen (which it didn't) how can they be sure there weren't more bullets in the tree and one of those killed him.

Just Google the guy's name and date. You'll see. I think there was even a Forbes article that had it on a "Unluckiest People To Ever Live" list.

This forum cracks me up with all the nitpicking. Why is everyone so skeptical?

I find this at least as believable as OP being accosted by a member of the village people for not accelerating fast enough at a traffic light. Both great stories imo, would read again.

That, as well, was 100% true! I'm still on the lookout for him so I can do the "I'll meet you at the Y-M-C-A" line someone suggested :D

The bullet was destined for Henry, and was only temporarily halted in its path toward that destiny by the intervening tree. Once he removed the tree, the fated projectile was free to continue its fatal flight.

Final Destination comes to mind here. I wonder if he had a radio playing John Denver...

He would have to have placed the dynamite in the opposite side of it's entrance path, then been standing in an exact spot for it to hit him, plus, the tree would have grown over the spot where the bullet was lodged in it anyway.

I dont think he was actually trying to get the outcome in the OP. :\
