Last Monday I entered my building's lobby without wearing a face-mask. A staffer yelled at me to put one on. I said, "Call a cop, if you don't like it."
He did.

When the police arrived the told me to put on a mask. I said no. So, one cop said, "then we're taking you to jail.

"That's greet! I turn 78 in a few days and in those 78 years, I have never been in jail. Not even an inkling. So, this will be a new experience for me, and when I get there they will find I have been arrested under the wrong ordinance, and I will get a little money for my inconvenience. Win-win for me."

They left, saying they would talk to their boss, and if it was ok with him, they would be back to take me to jail. They never came back; in fact, their boss called my landlord and told him to never call them again about face-masks.

You won't if you catch the virus because of it 🙄
Don't see what's the big deal with wearing a mask 😛 (assuming you don't have a health condition that's affected by them).

I caught it on the 5th of March---the second case in Seattle. The scariest thing that has ever happened to me. I have the antibodies, so I'm not a threat to anyone else. Nor them to me. In fact, I am the last one in town eligible for a vaccination..

Its a gamble! On the one hand you get to avoid the slight inconvenience of wearing a mask for a bit on the other you may drown in your lungs secretions.

BBC News - Covid immunity: Can you catch it twice?

More importantly, you can be a carrier and give it to everyone else. Thats a fact.

Sounds like that escalated very quickly. I suspect both of you could have handled that a bit better...

Guess I missed something?

Pokey
Good to hear you came through it alright 🙂 (presumably?).
But as has been mentioned, it's no certainty that you can't catch it twice, nor be a carrier.

Are you bragging about not wearing a mask? You are 78 years old? I thought with age came wisdom. I guess not.
