A workman at a manufacturing plant pushed a wheelbarrow piled with straw to the exit gate. The guard looks through the straw very carefully, looking for stolen tools, parts, or raw materiels. When he doesn't find any contriband, he lets the workman through the gate.
This goes on for fifteen years, until the workman retires.
Some time later, the guard encounters the workman and says, "I know you were stealing something, but no matter how carefully I searched, I couldn't find it. It's driving me nuts. What were you stealing?"
"Wheelbarrows!"
