US Medicare does not cover Viagra because they consider it a recreational drug.

Is it legal for a cat to buy it's owner marijuana? It is legal for the owner to buy the cat catnip.

What's that stuff about an unhealthy drop in blood pressure, or possibly an erection lasting more that 4 hours ... sounds dangerous.

Yeah, if you get the 4 hour erection, they have to cut into your dick and drain it. Kinda like popping a cyst.

:p Well, after 4 hours of intense action your partner may wish that ... ;)

Guys, tell me if I am a party pooper, but I think this kind of stuff belongs in OT.

Well, you are probably right about this belonging to OT. IMHO you are not right about being a party pooper ...

OTOH: there is a tradition of nef-threads in DC.
Not too many (mods decide that, usually not more than one or two on the firts page), not too long ones (there is however the (in)famous "Delete this - thread" with more than 3000 posts).
I know, I am one of the more nef-fing offenders ;)

There is also a relatively new tradition of "Believe it or don't"-threads - usually started by our in-house-stand-up artist Rudy Toody.
This is one of the very, very few threads which has its aim below the belt - and that may possibly be stretching the limits.

It is a delicate balance: between offending - not offending, between adhering to the rules and streching them just not too much, between allowing posts off-topic now and then and sticking to the topic. It is well done of reminding us of thinking about proper posting behavior.

Lets see what happens now.

I had reservations about the topic and the direction the thread might go. Maybe we should lock it and I should clean up my act.

Sorry.

Mark,
In the past we have been allowed a certain amount of leeway over here in DC.
For the most part we stick to our little corner of the forums and only venture out to recruit and at the same time the mods have kept a blind eye to our minor indiscretions. In all fairness it does get out of hand from time to time. "please delete" anyone? But in my opinion this was not one of those times.
Freds thread here is indeed a part of DC. Its distributed laughter generation V.6b.

Yes this is DC, but we maintain it like our own little world in here. The only *possible* issue I've seen in here was one bit of language that pertained to the conversation, and even that wasn't that bad (and well within the guidelines on the forums regarding language). So long as no one is or was offended, I don't see a problem at all.

I like when we hijacked the moderator nomination thread...

I don't have enough time to post everywhere I'd like, so I have to pick-and-choose what threads I want to post in.

This ain't it!
