And the song IS old, but I just heard it again and thought of something...

Is it Bela Lugosi's Dead as in Lugosi IS dead or is it a possessive apostrphe "s"?

I ask because he says "Bela Lugosi's Dead. I'm Dead" and obviously he's not saying he's Bela Lugosi AND he's dead because he's not Mr. Lugosi... he's Daniel Ash.

Bela Lugosi was big on the monster type movie, so to say the word "dead" as a possession for the man is not far fetched, and certainly the Godfather of Goth would be the first to admit that he is "quite the zombie" and could in fact be one of Bela Lugosi's dead.
