I work as the network admin for a law firm, and some of the folks aren't the most technologically inclined

a good ol' country gal who has very little computer knowledge called me a few minutes ago and said "my modem sounds like there's a NASCAR race going on inside!"

I was like "wtf, our PCs don't have modems..." then realized what she was talking about

i walked over there, balled up my fist, banged the rear of the machine real good, and it quit, so i said "there ya go" and walked out

she was laughing her ass off... she thought i was done.

ended up just disconnecting the dusty exhaust fan until i get a replacement

I have done that exact same thing to peoples machines. Gota love when hitting a computer actually fixes it 😀
