Sheesh... I guess I just don't get it, my bad I suppose...

when I think back to many of the women I was friendly with while my kids were small,hubby stepping out occasionally was more the rule than the exception,the only differences were in how discrete they were about it.

My Mom was married twice. The first husband left because he couldn't handle the two kids, "too much trouble". He was a bum.

Her second husband (my Dad) left her for his sectarary. He too is a bum.

I don't have a very high opinion of men, as you can probably guess. 🙂 My Mom raised me herself since I was 6.

Not that wives weren't cheating creeps too but it tended to be bigger,more shocking news and the woman tended to get shunned a lot more than the men did.

Really? Do women really cheat that much? I've never had a woman cheat on me that I know about, I figured it was rather rare. If she does it, I would image it would be to break up with the guy, not to keep doing it.

Unfortunately along with parity in the workforce came some parity with other things, married women can and do cheat,with women though I think it tends to be more of an ongoing affair type deal than it is the "fling" type thing.
Either way,it's pretty hurtful to be on the receiving end of such behavior imho.

Well, all I can say is I darn well hope it never happens to us. If Thumper ever thinks about it, I would like to think our marriage is strong enough that she could come to me and we could work it out.
