I imagine you're just trolling, but if not, I honestly feel deeply sorry for you.

I could believe him. I personally know someone that thinks napalm is the ultimate cure for homosexuality, and when his son proposed torturing gay people, he said "No, they're still human".

Yeah.

So if God made you attracted to the same sex he did that to torture you? Or maybe to tell you you should join the clergy (celibate....in theory)?

Nuh-uh.

As for the AIDS issue, that has already fallen to pieces as many heteros are also suffering from it. Not in the same numbers, but not in an easily dispensable "Well, they did something bad too and deserve it".

The whole holy retribution schtick has been ditched by most at this point.

I guess by saying that Homos have a higher rate of incidence, that the people in certain areas of Africa with even higher rates, "deserved it" even more than gays? Double crock.

This was a bad move by this guy. Not only is he acting unfairly given the number of caveats given by the actor, but he's really just fueling the anti-gay rights people out there.

I can see that. (I also seems that there are a fair amount of "bisexual" young women out there who think it's cool to say they're bisexual when they rarely have relationships or sex with women.)

In any case, I think the country is to the point where it doesn't even matter if being gay is a choice. While I do believe it's not a choice for most gays, who cares if it were at this point? The world has bigger problems than men screwing other men, regardless of what their reason is. I care more about people figuratively screwing their fellow man over.

We're on the same page with this. I too don't think it doesn't matter if it's a "choice" or not. However, there are still many people who do think it matters, and would argue that if it's a choice then people should be hated for making that choice, or else "cured." Gay rights activitists have to consider the existence and opinions of such people and how they are potentially fueled by comments like the one made by Cynthia Nixon here. I think her comment, in full context, was about a lifestyle choice she made given that she is bisexual, not a choice to be bisexual to begin with. However, the one statement out of context is fuel for homophobes. That much is hard to deny.
