I know that sometimes, these cheap generic keyboards don't last more than a couple of years (or possibly less). But for under $3 ea, you come out ahead buying a few extra at a time. I supply all of my friends with keyboards (if they want them), and I bundle them with computers I sell. (Which hasn't been that often lately, but I just gave away a PC yesterday, and I didn't have a spare "cheap" keyboard and mouse to give away with it. I ended up giving them a keyboard and mouse that came with my current pre-built PC, that I wasn't using.)
