Behold, The Volvette

Wow, I think that guy has been working on that car for over a year. Good to see that he got it done, it looks sweet. 🙂

why is he redlining it? modulate modulate

unless of course he does not mind his engine bouncing off the rev limiter

What's with the tiny tires that look like they belong on a 70s Hot Wheels?😕

Yea does not matter how much power you make if it does not hook up.

I hope he puts on bigger wheels and does some suspension work. If not then we will be seeing a tree and his car together in the future. 😛

Those are Pegs, which I believe are 18" x 8" and are the largest wheel you can get if you want to remain OEM.

However I do agree and from what I have seen similiar folks with high-output engines go with much larger wheels. The only disadvantage (that you can see) is that the 740 has a small wheel well so if you used larger wheels your car would only be good for drag racing. 😉

Personally instead of the larger wheels I would go with an engine management platform (like Civinco) and limit boost in the lower gears.

I meant the low-walled tires, not the wheel size. These dinky little tires seem so common nowadays and look quite different from what I had on my 76 Malibu (P75R15 if I remember correctly).
