Before anyone posts about the pointlessness of creating a photo-realistic airbrush painting based off a photo, the guy explained his reasoning on a webpage somewhere. I think he did it more or less as practice; normally he creates photorealistic paintings of scenes that you could NOT take pictures of, i.e. things that can't possibly happen.
