Behold... the Diablo destroyer!

Looks pretty damn cool. Alas, it's Korean so it may be F2P and a grindfest. Korean closed beta 2015. Supposed 2016 release.

G-star Trailer
Explains more about the classes and other aspects of the game. There's a keg drinking game! O_O!

Yea, that's actually a great **REMOVED** introduction.

Hello Lost Ark. We shall be friends.

The graphics have a tremendous amount of detail. I'm really impressed. This looks like a Diablo fan's wet dream.

No cursing in PC Gaming.

Wow. Never played any Korean games though. What kind of grinding are we talking about? I use to play old school FFantasy, Phantasy Star, and Dragon Warrior. If it's within the same level I'm fine with that.

Looks pretty. All Diablo type games are grindy though, thats the genre. Grind for gear, PvP, grind for gear, camp boss, PvP, grind for gear, repeat.

It really does looks great. But will the game-play be good?

I saw the trailer, the physics and visual effects (particles, smokes, lightning, etc) look fantastic. But we don't know much about its game-play mechanics beyond it consisting of the usual ARPG "hit stuff that moves" along with what seems to be some small 'puzzles' thrown in (or at least environmental traps). We should wait for more information before saying it's going to be a "Diablo destroyer", in my opinion.

I've heard "Diablo 3 killer" before, and at least for me frankly it just never really happened (I.E. no other ARPGs out there truly "destroyed" D3). That title was attributed to Path of Exile pretty soon after its release (and before, of course, during Beta). I myself couldn't stand PoE mostly (but not only) due to the horrid animations. I've tried other ARPGs out there (before D3 came out, and after) and even though I do not play D3 regularly anymore it is still "the one" ARPG I keep coming back to when I feel like mindlessly bashing some skeletons or throwing fireballs at demons.

heh, not even close. more like killing goblins for 5 hours to get one level. drop rates of 0.03% for the best gear, from the hardest mobs. stuff like that.

no thanks.

It does look gorgeous, but Korea + arpg are a no go for me.

...also, that sword looks dumb as hell. :colbert:

Looking at the HUD, I don't even see an experience point progress bar. I see health, mana and even current level, but nothing that says how close you are to the next level. hmmmm....

Is there any loot in this or it's just a killfest?

The characters seem to use the same weapons/armor and there's no loot to be found after killing enemies. Maybe you find loot in chest and secret places?

And the sword...damn that look completely dumb. I hate these kinds of over the top designs

Look really good visually though, stunning.

It looks nice, but it also looks easy (no character ever took any damage in that whole video), and no loot drops; on-rails ARPG?

Path of Exile is the Diablo killer. So much better in almost every way; I think people that dis it are shocked when they come from casual back into old school games where you can mess up a build from the extensive customization. I was a bit put off by the huge skill tree, but almost 1000 hours later, I love being able to make nearly any build imaginable.

Not even close. I remember Lineage 2, and having to literally sit for 5 minutes for your mana to regen, having to wait 10-15 minutes for a ship to show up to move to another zone, and taking a full day or more (12 hours of grinding) just to get enough gold to buy one item at low levels. If Koreans made WoW, that pet you farmed that you took you 4 hours would take 4 weeks.

wait, you get to ride on a dragon and command a mech, but using a big sword is over the top? lol

There is just something about Path of Exile that makes it feel very dull to me. Tried 3 times to get into it because I hear good things but just can't enjoy myself playing it.

LOL! Yeah I know, sound stupid but I hate these kinds of design ideas...like the finger sword in DA:I...

And it's not the size of the sword but the fact that it's "expanding" lol...

with everyone else here - definitely looks amazing but gameplay is what really matters here. if its a grindfest and f2p, then its going to be crap despite the graphics.
