report back, i wanna know if the extra features are worth it over the normal MX510

i find the scroll up/down buttons pretty usefull, as is the switch program button.
logitech claimed they swapped these for the DPI up/down control instead since no one showed intrest in scroll up/down as the web wheels there for that

I wouldn't think going from a 510 to a 518 is worth it, I moved from a 1st gen intellimouse explorer with a wheel that sometimes got stuck
As far as I can see all buttons are 100% configurable, so you can use them for same features as on the 510.

only the mx510 and mx518 has it, it's the new "feature" of logictech a 100% unique mouse

never seen a 510? the paint is metalic with random swirls. the picture sorta doesn't show it right.

oh ack i didn't notice that it came out.

but it is a nice feature though. and one that i have personally wished for during many a fps game.. its nice that they built it into the hardware. choosing between sniper accuracy and assault weap speed is so annoying normally heh
