Any recommendations??

Good bass "if possible" though I understand the design may not allow it..

Preferably NOT the kind that sticks into your ear..

price </= $200 dollars

So, i've been browsing head-fi,, and it looks like no one gives a shit about behind the neck...

UGh.... what to do.... maybe buy my 3rd pair of cx300,, LOL these things keep breaking..

First pair I ripped the cord that went under my chair,, second pair I crushed under a piece of wood...

Swearing is not allowed in the tech subforums

behind the neck is not made for sound quality, it is for on the go or convenience...or simply not to mess iwth ur hair. good sound = large drivers and big ear cups..incompatible with behind the neck.

Koss SportaPro?

but why do you want specifically behind the neck?

the earcup kind makes the area of my head around my ears itchy,, and hot.. LOL.. YES, I shower, makes no difference after the cups go on for more than 30 mins.. :|

The hair issue doesn't matter since I only listen to music at home..

Is that retard in the amazon foto wearing it wrong? it IS behind neck right?http://www.amazon.com/Koss-PortaPro-...6761242&sr=8-1

what is your actual experience? different models and shapes and ear padding feel different.

cheap ones will feel bad.
they won't have nicer padding like mmeory foam.
there are closed and open headphones. each have their purpose, but if air circulation is your thing, then open headphones will keep your ears cool. they give better sound for a given amount of engineering effort and money as well, at the cost of sound leakage and lack of isolation..and so can only be used at home.

porta pro is a separate product.
those are headphones that sit on the ears, not around the ears. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headphones#Circumaural to get away with behind the neck it either has to clamp your ears do use hooks or some such thing, which is even more uncomfortable in my opinion.

my question was is that guy in the photo wearing it right..

But,, yea I'm pretty turned off by overhead cans,, good/bad foam,, won't help me. I just can't deal with the sweaty feeling around my ears..
