Question Behavior of the Enter key when selecting multiple images

I frequently select a range of jpgs to open in photoshop and hit the enter key. When I hit the enter key, they all open in photoshop, until now... I just built a new Windows 10 computer and it doesn't do this. It does something weird. The first image becomes my new desktop background.

I want to have the old computers behavior. JPG, JPEG, PNG, et al are associated with photoshop. Any ideas?

I just wanted to comment, as a fellow beard enthusiast, that the fellow in your avatar has a rightous beard.

Mine kind of looks like Santa Claus, just not quite that bushy yet. Mini Santa Claus.

Anyways, about your Windows problem, is this Windows 11 we're talking about? I am still learning my way around Windows 11.

Maybe there's some sort of 3rd-party "OpenWith" tool that you could find and utilize? I don't know if there is one, but there aught to be.

Thanks. The beard is a little more trimmed now than that photo. I got tired of the bulk on the sides.

This is Windows 10. The weird thing is that if I double click on a single file, it opened in photoshop and if I highlight a single file and hit enter, it does also. Only when I highlight multiple files and hit enter does it make the first file into the desktop background.
