Beginner question regarding folders/files on dual HDDs

My PC arrives tomorrow with a 256GB SSD. im planning to buy a mechanical HDD in the near future. Question is, would I be able to install the itunes program on the SSD and have the music/album art files on another HDD with no conflicts?

Just make symlinks and you'll be golden.
