Im thinking of getting an Intel Q9450 and wondering what motherboard you guys suggest. Im really only looking for two things in a mother board, 8gb Ram supported and Raid 1 built in. Any suggests would be great. Although, I would probably also like the board to support SLI encase in ever wanted the graphics power.

I was currently looking at this.
ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel

thanks

I have heard good things about the board you mentioned although it won't be able to do SLI. If you want SLI and Q9450 your only choice is an nForce 7 series board. Overclocking a quad on NV board can be a hit or miss, though.

Oh and BTW welcome to the forum. 🙂

That seems to be much less of a problem these days. I've had no problems with my IP35-E so I would think most P35 boards could do it - of course no SLI there. The desire for SLI really does limit the choices.

Yeah as I looked i noticed a serious lack of SLI on most of the boards. I will probably go with the IP35 unless i find some reason not to.
Thanks for the help.
