beginner mod question

I am currently in the process of modding my new SX1240 case. Nothing too fancy, just a nice paint job. Is it possible to put a decal (sticker) on the side panel before clear coating and still have it look good? Any help would be appreciated (It is my first time LOL).

Not a good idea IMHO.. the clear coat will eventually flake off.. especially because of the nature of the materials stickers are made out of..

Edit: I do suppose that if you used many coats it would be okay but you would need to do some careful sanding to make sure the sticker is flush with the rest of the clear coated part of the case..

Has anyone put decals on their cases? How would it look if it was put on after the case was waxed?

scratch the decal and go with a window and etching...much cooler looking
