How To Beginner Build

Hello guys. I am completely new to pc building.

I wish to build a mid range pc for my graphics design / video editing work. I'll be buying my parts in India.

I'm currently very tight on budget and think of reusing parts from my old dell optiplex 990, pls guide me if it's possible and suggest some parts which are economical but offer decent performance.

I have another old case in which I'll be assembling all the stuff, it current houses the old self assembled pc from about 13 years back.

Dell tends to use stuff that only fits on Dell cases though.

Going to need some more info on your current PC, the Optiplex 990 has a wide range of configurations and if you're planning to reuse parts we need to know exactly what the config is.

LOL Sandy Bridge era SFF? I guess you can repurpose the optical drive, and the spinning rust HDD.
