I have a BEFSX41. I'm looking for 101 for the admin of my router switch. I just want to understand the router setup better. When I first got the router, I called Linksys tech and they said the router was loosing sync with my cable modem. Linksys also had me disable MTU for my Xbox.

Welcome to AT Network forum.

Read the Manual. and look at the menus if you do not understand a term Google for it.

You should know that it is hard to understand Router's issues without understanding Networking in general.

As for the statement: "Linksys also had me disable MTU for my Xbox". I am noy sure what it means MTU value can be changed but it scan not be disabled.

Can you describe what exactly you did.

Link didnt work.
They just had me disable the MTU. I checked the disable MTU.

The BEFSX41 is rather old Router I remeber some MTU problems with it.

At time the best success was with firmware version BEFSX41_v1453_code.bin, or BEFSX41_v1.50.9_code.bin.

I think Id be better off going with Xbox360 suggested router.
BEFSR41

My pages(internet pages) seem to load faster with MTU at 1500.
But the 360 didnt like it.
