I bought the router because of frequent port scans and attacks. I have multiple pc's behind this firewall. Each pc can access the net through the routers DHCP function.
My provider leases IP's through DHCP.
Here are the questions for those who may have an answer.
I'm a Tribes player. I can start the game and log on to any server. I play for several minutes, then it drops me to the screen where you can see available servers. NOT GOOD..
Anyone have a fix for this?
Also, I can assign static addresses to my pc's but when doing so I can reach the router , but I don't have access to the net.
I give each pc a seperate IP
I enabled DNS and listed a host ( my router's name)
I gave the gateway as the IP of my router..
The advantage here is I can set my machine to the DMZ ( outside the routers firewall ) or I can forward the ports ( Tribes is 28000 to 28230 normally )
Thanks for any and all help,
SilverBack
