Has anyone had any success configuring this router to run LINKS 2003 without enabling DMZ ? The UpNP function is enabled and shows the open ports in the "Internet Gateway" property settings. I can see open games in Matchmaker and get "Connection Failed" when trying to join another game. I feel that UpNP is not working as it should ...
I have been successful connecting and playing a game using the MSN voice connection with my computer plugged in directly to my cable modem which leaves me open to hacks. This works very well as it's nice to talk and play at the same time, but I'd rather have a secure connection using the router which I cannot figure out. Any suggestions will be appreciated .. I am open to all ..
Thanks.

Here's Microsoft's solution ....
Router, Firewall, or Proxy Server
When you try to play a multiplayer game of Links on a computer with a router, firewall or proxy server, you may not be able to host a multiplayer game. To work around this issue, play as a client instead of a host, or run Links 2003 on a computer that is outside the scope of the router, firewall, or proxy server.
