Doesn't the production of the Raptor affect jobs in 48 states? I don't think they'll kill it. Too many Senators want to protect jobs in their state.

Wow even our cruise missiles (I will assume that is what that is next to the F/A 22) look all stealthy.

I think the research alone is worth keeping it around. Without research you cannot have a discovery, who knows maybe through the development of this jet we will redesign space travel. I have nothing to base this on, just a thought.

Commanche and Crusader also affected jobs in many states.
Production &amp; R&amp;D are always spread out in large budget programs to try and reduce the chance of a purely political kill.

That is not a cruise missle, that is a bomb with wings. The wings allow the bomb to be dropped from about 200 miles from target.
