i work for comcast and get 20% off my monthly bill as part of our employee discount AT&T/Cingular gives us. I'm reading the pamphlet that i got at AT&T and it says "there are no equipment or monthly service discounts avaliable with the purchase of the iPhone". the sales rep at the store said i would get my discount, but this says otherwise. who is right? will i get my discount?

At this point a lot of people are confused about that. AT&T clearly said that they will not allow people to retain their corp discounts, but most people who got the iphone service and had prior corp discounts still see the discount applied when they log into their AT&T account. It might be removed in the future, but as of right now discount still shows for me too.

They also weren't that clear when they said that discounts would not be allowed on iphone service. They might have meant that discount will not be applied to the data package but voice feature still will have the discount, or they might have meant the whole voice+data will not allow discount. At this point, nobody's sure.
