Before I hit the order button (Gaming PC)

Could you take a look over this gaming setup and see if I have missed anything?

Amazon List

I have done some research on some of the items but I am quite rusty on PC components.

This will just be the first order - I have not decided on what monitor ect..

Thanks!

I've been hearing that driver support for AMD graphic cards are getting better and occasionally out performing Nvidia on the same tier GPU.

I like the RAM choice.

You won't need that cooler for a non overclocking chip. Unless that can be overclocked? Doesn't look like it. But I would but an i5 6600K chip or 6700K if I could afford it, and put that nice CPU cooler to use 😉

Check Jonnyguru for PSU reviews. The best place on the net for PSU reviews.

you have an overclocking motherboard, and a non-overclocking cpu. one of the two has to change.

the cooler is too expensive and unnecessary, even if you *do* get a K cpu. also, it's not the latest H- model, so why.

me, i'd rather go with a case such as the R5 non-window; the Air is inferior in just about anything - more plastic, less rigidity, more noise, and a weird 2-stage build area which is not ideal.

i would rather leave the 2Tb HDD, and buy a single 500Gb SSD, with a view of installing a second one later on. mechanical hard disks need to die, SSD is all you should use.

instead of that 750w bronze PSU, i'm sure you can get a gold (or even platinum) 650w EVGA (or even 750w, why not) for the same money.

Thanks for the replies.

I will look into your suggestions and revise the list over the weekend.

Thanks again!
