Saw it last night at a 7pm PST showing up here in Victoria, something sponsored by a couple of local radio stations and newspapers. Theater was packed, and since it's rated R there was nobody under the age of 18 inside, which cut down on the crap talking and noise you normally get in a theater.

Overall it was a very funny movie, not quite Super Troopers funny, but 10 times better than Club Dread. Obviously the storyline is kind of stupid, and there's a few plot "twists" that are just lazy, but they're good for a laugh. Plenty of nudity, lots of perverse and gross humor, and some guys' great-grandma turns out to be a hooker.

If you laughed at Super Troopers, Harold and Kumar, or any of those kinds of movies, go see this one. Otherwise wait for the rental, it'll be out in a few months.

You'll love this movie then. The guys all start training by basically getting ripped drunk, and they pretty much all black out and wake up in the most fvcked up places. Definitely their own sense of humor in this one.

Just got back from it. Great movie.

I wasn't expecting much and was surprised how funny it was. The last 1/4 of the movie wasn't as funny as the first 3/4 but good nonetheless.

Halfway through the movie the employees did a major flashlight search for people drinking beer in the movie. Kicked out about 10 kids obviously younger than 21.

Good times.

We didn't have something like that happen, but there were security guards doing bag checks for cameras and whatnot, and people with headsets wandering around trying to spot people recording it. Pretty tight security, since it was 2-days prior to the release.

"Great movie if you leave your brain at home"

Doesn't that apply to most of today's movies?

Just got back from it actually. We chugged some 40s beforehand to get in the mood.

It was pretty funny, though I agree not as good as Super Troopers.

Meh, from the previews, it looks pretty bad.

It seems like they set a pretty high bar with super troopers, and unfortunately, they haven't delivered since.

This was a hilarious movie. Very stupid humor of course, but just what I needed for some genuine laughs. I think I may have liked this better than Super Troopers only b/c it had more funny moments. Oh and I love beer!

broken lizard has totally changed its style since supertroopers, and not in a good way. their latest 2 movies have been cheap (joke-wise) and gimmicky. supertroopers was a thoroughly hilarious (IMO) character-driven comedy, along the lines of Big Lebowski and Office Space.

everytime i watch supertroopers or big lebowski, the movie gets better because i get to watch farva acting like farva, or walter acting like walter. repeat viewings of Club Dread or Beerfest just highlight the lack of amusing characters and the unimaginative jokes.
