Just wondering about this after making my other wine topic. I obviously still like beer the most but I was wondering how many people really enjoy both to an equal extent.

I drink beer and wine regularly.

I just got into wine a year ago. Wine has so much going for it. Vintage to vintage, wines change. Wines changes over the years as you store them. Wine is way more complex than beer. When I pick up my favorite beer, I know the exact taste to expect.

Wine takes time and dedication to truly appreciate. Beer honestly doesn't.

The best thing about beer, was being able to homebrew it. That is a lot of fun. Making your own wine is more complicated and can't easily be done by laypersons.

different foods/occasions ask for different alcohol imho.

I drink wine, beer, liquor with more emphasis on the liquor.

Beer. Wine isn't my thing usually but once and a while I'll get smashed off a few bottles...

 Even if I were to acquire a taste for wine, I really can't see it overtaking my love for beer.

Just depends on my mood and occasion.

The great thing about wine is that you can take a bottle of red wine out on a picnic or camping and not worry about having to keep it chilled down for it to be good. It's a little more "spontaneous" than beer can be.

I've got about 20 different bottles of wine on hand at the house and about 7 different types of beer in the fridge so I don't discriminate one way or the other :)

I voted beer. I enjoy some wines. Mostly the semi sweet whites. The dry reeds arent for me.

A good beer always trumps wine though for me.

Like i've said I don't really like wine right now but I think it might also be because beer is good at quenching your thirst. You take a nice swig of it and its very refreshing. In my limited experience with wine, its more about the taste.

i find that wine drinkers also enjoy beer. However, I drink beer and hard alcohol if i am drinking all night. I will not touch wine.

To be honest I think beer and wine on the most part appeal to two different audiences.

I have not yet acquired the taste for wine, but I guess that comes with age. On the other hand I love my beer. :D

i chose "i dont drink alcohol" because it was closest to "i could care less if either existed or not".

i dont really drink all that much, but when i do i dont care it either exist. ill drink a rum before beer or wine.

Wine is too expensive to get into. I'd rather pay a 10th the price of top quality wines and get a great belgian beer.

I've never been able to drink a beer and feel good afterwards. Something about it makes me feel crappy.

Wine, on the other hand, goes down nice and smooth and tastes much better than beer.

I drink beer when I go out somewhere, as it's too expensive to get wine at a restaurant unless you have somebody to share a bottle with. At home I try to stay away from beer, cause of the calories/carbs. I'll usually drink a half a bottle or so of wine and play guitar on my porch on summer nights... and wine is more fun with a few friends over.
