Beer mat knows when it is refill time

so what happens when you just place your hand on the plastic mat and slightly touch it, and its lighter than the full beer you are holding?

I doubt it would be heavier than the mug itself, unless you're trying to set it off.
 
And then all it takes is one tard trying to set it off multiple times or not using the mat at all.... good idea but leaving responsibility up to consumers doesn't always work as planned.
 
Nice for all kinds of beverages, but takes away my main way of seeing how much I should tip, how many refills I get automatically vs having to ask.
