Add the dehydration of caffiene to the dehydration effects of alcohol, and you have the receipe for a mega headache the next morning.

Dehydration is a symptom (dry mouth, headache). The diuretic effect causes dehydration, lowered magnesium levels, lowered potassium levels, and lowered sodium levels. That is a small part of what leads to a hangover. Other things include congeners, acetaldehyde metabolism, and glutamine rebound. Alcohol is a strong diuretic, caffeine is a mild diuretic, it shouldn't cause that much worse of a hangover.

this will lead to increased alcohol poisoning. your body KO's when it says enough is enough. when you give yourself a dose of caffeine (as with vodka and red bull) it wakes you up and you don't KO when you're supposed to.

coke doesn't have as much caffeine as red bull, which is the most dangerous drink to have with alcohol. i'm not saying NOT to drink it, i'm just saying there's gonna be a bunch of irresponsible drinkers who load up on this stuff and end up in the hospital.

Bah.....who cares about this. Has anyone ever tried Sparks? It's like an alcoholic enegry drink. 6.8% or something like that, kinda like beer, but tastes like red bull.

Wasn't this Drew Carey's homebrewed beer on "The Drew Carey Show," called Buzz Beer?

That's exactly what I thought of too. 😛

I've seen micro brews like this around before, can't remember where though.

Red Bull has 88mg of caffeine in an 8oz can. Most bars pour half a can so you are getting 44mg of caffeine per serving.

This stuff has 54 mg of caffeine per 10oz.

A coke has about 34mg of caffeine per 12oz and when you order a rum & coke you get about 8oz of cola so a bit over 20mg of caffeine.

A standard 8oz cup of coffee has around 115mg of caffeine in it.

You'd have to drink 4 of these before the difference between the two was even equal to one cup of coffee.

I don't drink Pissweiser...why would I drink this shite?

Why post in the thread then?

Why question my reasoning? Does it bother you that much??
My point is that while there are people who may try this and even who may actually like it, I don't think it'll last very long. It's basically just a marketing ploy put into effect because of how popular energy drinks have been in the last few years. Apparently Red Bull and Vodka weren't enough...now Anheiser Busch has to make a new beer that probably tastes even shittier than their regular pisswater macrobrew.

And I post because I can. 😛

Anyone else tried this?

B to the E? WTF?
Are they still calling it that or is it just Bud Extra.

Sweet beer? Yuck. That's not beer. Just another Barcardi Silver type drink. Thats a lot more carbs than regular beer too.
Also seems like this is a good way to make your heart explode.

This is a pretty good hangover cure.

Saw this in the grocery store (Food Lion) today. Funny seeing 'B to the E' on the shelf tag.
Something else I saw...Anheuser World Select. Not cheap. Anyone tried it?

Also while I've seen Tequiza many times, I just noticed today that it's made from blue agave. Is this any good? I'm a big tequila drinker.

Sparks is awesome. love the stuff. tends to make me forget things tho

Not sure about beer up here in Canada, but there's been caffeinated hard liquor drink similar to Mike's Hard Lemonade (hell, i wouldn't be surprised if Mike has a caffeinated drink out) for years now.

Back when ephedrine was legal, there were even caffeine, ephedrine, alcoholic drinks.

This is only like the 47th thread about itt.

And like I always say in the threads:

"Great, now I can be wide awake to enjoy how crappy bud tastes"
