A couple months ago I had posted about how drinking Coronas didn't give me a buzz, but just gave me a headache.

I've tried a variety of beers, bottled and on tap, and ALL of them give me a headache and put me in a bad mood. This is a recent occurance. I hate it because I love beer! :|

I found if I drink hard liquor, everything is fine. Still takes just as long to get a drunk on (4-10 drinks, depending on what I ate and my mood) but I get my happy buzz going.

I remember that thread.
People hypothesized thats the sulfates(?) in the beer were possibly causing you a headache?

How many have you tried? Have you tried any porters or extremely dark beers?

Liquor's lower in calories anyway, unless you don't drink it straight, in which case you're a girly-man  :p Any big changes that coincide with when this started happening? You gain/lose weight? Go on/off medication? etc.

Not that I noticed. Got a new baby in the house a little over a year ago, but that didn't change anything with my eating or weight.

Corona is made partly with corn. It's possible this could be part of the reason. Most American style lagers are either made this way or with rice. Do craft or european imports do this?

Some people have sulfite allergies, but I don't know of many beers that are made with sulfites. Wines, on the other hand, are almost always made with sulfites.

Many of the better beers are unfiltered, and thus you often have more spent yeast. Some people are allergic to yeast as well, but I don't think this is your problem with a Corona. Perhaps you just need to better hydrate yourself, take some B complex, etc.?

For me, if I drink the same amount of water as I do beer I won't get a headache usually. But that's just my experience.

I have a problem with headaches sometimes too. I suggest making sure you drink enough water, or better yet, drink a 20oz of gatorade before bed to replace fluids and lost electrolytes/sugars. The worst is when you fall asleep with a beer in your hand having drank 0 oz of water or anything that night. You just know that morning will be horrible.

The problem isn't after drinking. It's DURING drinking. :( 2 beers and my head is ready to explode. Whether it's bottled piss like Cororna or a micro-brew straight from the keg, same thing.

I guess it's gonna be me and the Cap'n for a long time now...

Try the real cheap stuff... King Cobra or Schlitz Malt Liquor = $1.50 for a 40oz. They work well, and I truely think they taste better than Bud Light.

Bull Ice has like 8.5% alcohol and it tastes like Busch Light or something similar.
