Beer + Crawfish makes a helluva meal

Where you from? I have not had crawfish in a while and I live in Miltion, LA..... man I would kill for some right now.

If it's the same thing, we call them crawdads out here. Definitely good and better than anything you will buy in the supermarket.

relatives from out of town came in this past week and we boiled some, but this definitely isnt the right season for it. so small, but definitely goes well with beeeeer.

I was in Monroe yesterday, ate at some grill on the road in from Bastrop on the left by a body of water near the university. Can't remember for the life of me. My wife and I were tripping on Rock 106 the whipping boy show (what is that website address for them ?)

That's Bayou Desiard. Dunno about the grill, that could be a million places. We ate at Cypress Inn tonight, and god was it expensive (parents foot the bill though) and yeah the crawfish were pretty small. Still, I hadn't had any in so long....god I love crawfish. 😀

Oh and I don't know the website for them. Only thing I listen to around here is 91.1, but they've gone and fvcked it up. I swear I will never forgive ULM for that. :|

LMAO, a seafood buffet in my area used to have them on the buffet...
I always came back with 2 or 3 plates of food at a time... I always arranged a plate of crawfish so that they were all facing the same way.. and would always put them on the table facing my wife and/or mother in law. 🙂

edit: It would gross them out. It's been years since I've had crawfish though 🙁

Just got back from eating who knows how many pounds of crawfish. That mess is soooooo good.

One of the things I am happy to have moved down here. Huge pot filled with all kinds of goodies, Corn, Beer etc. Hmmm Hmmmm

That and the endless supply of shrimp 😀

A big picnic table, pounds of crawfish strewn on there on newspaper and plenty of mash for them = Heaven.
And plenty of beer of course.

And the ladies. Can't forget the ladies..

We used to catch hundreds of those little bastards and keep them in a cage dropped in the water by the dock. When we got enough we'd steam the tails. They were awesome. We ate a lot of snapping turtles, too. Can't beat squirrel stew. It's all good shmack 😀

Glad to see I'm not the only Louisiana resident on here.

I'm a new resident to SouthEastern Lousiana. Live on North Shore of Lake Pontrachartrain near the west ramp of the 24 Mile Causeway Bridge to New Orleans across the lake which is the world's longest bridge.

I have been working on the New Orleans side (contract runs out in a month though 🙁 ) so have been running back and forth everyday with the Pelicans that fly along the railings, amazing how smart they are to use the bridge as a navigational aid for them. Of course other birds have adapted too but they don't look as good as the majestic Pelican.

Got a 14ft Aluminum boat and motor going so looking forward to doing some fishing soon.

Of course I have to share the water with all the Gators  Surrounded by them here.
