Beer Brewing

I just recently turned 21 and am getting a appartment off campus. I love beer...tis a great thing and now i want to start making it at home. I heard its a great hobby and can save you money while actually making some pretty good damn beer.

Anyone recommend some good starting kits or a good type of beer to start on?

Skip the beer and go right into distilling grain alcohol.

is that legal?

Not in the U.S.

You can brew for a fairly cheap amount I think, but like many hobbies you might be compelled to spend much much more than that. 🙂

I am about to start on my first batch soon, cant wait 🙂
There is a must have book called "The Complete Joy of Homebrewing" and i would recommend checking out morebeer.com

Find a brewshop and ask a lot of questions. They will have what you need to get set up. My brewshop has a good filebox full of recipes, I chat with the owner and have him recommend something.

Mmmm, beer...I need to get a new batch started.
