I'm trying a fresh install of windows 2k pro. and now I'm getting a long and two short beep codes from the board when it try start windows. The bios will start up and everything post's but after that I get the beep code. I check in the manual and I says that particualr code is a problem with the system not being able to recognize and make a display with my video card. (hercules prophet 2) Well I'm getting a display, the the vid. card posts and I get the little vid card bios... whats going on? Did my card somehow get farked?
I don't have another system with agp, so I don't have another agp card either, so swapping the cards to test is out of the question. Right now I'm trying another install, if this dosen't work I will clear the cmos, try reseating the card and see what happens. Other than that I'm out of ideas... anyone have any? I suppose I could go out and buy a new card (I have been looking around for a cheap gf3.... but I don't really want to do that) Thanks for reading!!!! (sorry it got a little longer than planned..)
