Beep code help for msi k7-d master

I set up a msi k7-d master dual mobo. I run it w/out ram and I get 1 long beep and turns off. I plug in the ram, it goes for a little while longer. It's just about to send a signal to the monitor (can tell by that fuzzy static noise when monitor turns on), then I get a short beep, and turns off. I try it w/out the video card and I get 1 long beep, 2 short beeps. Checked out the bios website and it says that it's a video card problem. So i'm pretty sure it's not video or ram. Any help

Well, according to Award, "Any other beeps are probably a RAM (Random Access Memory) problems." So, I'd take another hard look at the RAM. Test it in another system maybe. Pull and reinstall it a couple of times to be sure it is seated well. Also, what video card are you using? There was a BIOS release that dealt with a "no boot" problem when using an ATI 8500 video card with USB controller was enabled.
Other than that, I'd suggest going back to square one and checking connections, jumpers and settings, piece by piece. Try booting with minimal components and only one stick of RAM.
You might also want to check out the AMDMB MSI forum and do a search for the K7D Master. That brings up several threads there. Maybe someone there can give more info on your trouble.

Thanks Buz2b. I went back and reseated the ram and video card, sitll no go. Took the power connector, took it off, put it back on. Boot. Funny how things work out. Thanks again Buz2b.
