Beep........beep..................beep

When playing some games, I hear strange short beeps once in a while. This was happening when I was playing NOLF, this happened few days ago with Wolfenstein and happens pretty often today with Fifa 2002.
It's not overheating beeps, since the temps are ok, and the overheating beep is one long beep, while these are very short ones.

My theory :
Remember in the old computers, in DOS, when you were holding some key for a long period of type the computer started beeping(because there was no place left in the keyboard stack)?
In NOLF, it happened always after I was crouching for a long time, holding the C button. Same for Wolfenstein. While in Fifa 2002 I dont hold some charachter button for long periods the W is pressed very often and the beeps happen most of the time when I hold the S button to make a stronger pass.

I will apperciate any help with this, since these beeps are pretty loud, and in general, they just piss me off.

it could be you are pressing too many keys at once...... most computers beep when 3 or more keys are being pressed for a few seconds

EDIT: forgot.... try pushing the <- arrow, holding left arrow down... push the up arrow (and holding both down)... push the -> arrow down you will most probably hear a beep

Keyboard buffer overun. Happens on UT sometimes

I've also seen it happen when you press or hold only one key down, like he is doing. Usually only on older computers, a different reason though, like a temporary freeze up.

Again, that would be a buffer overrun. I know you can edit this setting for the mouse in the registry, but I am not sure for keyboards.

But it's not an "older" computer, and a friend of mine has the same one and everything is ok for him. Maybe it's because I have WinME and he got XP?
