been to many lan parties? what games were most fun?

do you go to, or have you gone to any LAN parties? Don't have to be huge ones... maybe 3-4 ppl even. what kind of games did you play, and which ones were most fun/occupied the most time? I lan it up with a cousin of mine occasionally, but we spend too much time thinking of which games to play. last time we played WC3, that wasn't bad. the game of choice used to be Starcraft for the longest time... but with a GB of ram, GHz+ processors, 64MB, 128MB video cards etc etc... I think it's reasonable to play something slightly more demanding. 😛

Games like Q3A get too boring with only a couple people. What do you suggest?

My cuz suggested HW2 but I didn't feel like that kinda game.. I never got into Homeworld much for some reason. What is C&C Generals like? C&C Renegade at all? BF1942.. never tried

my cousin likes gta/gta2/vice city.. im not crazy about those ones either though

bf1942 is the bomb...I personally dont like the DC mod, but others do. I used to go to lan parties all the time, but that was back when counterstrike, and tfc were big. I wouldnt waste my time with those, bf1942 is just too good.

I never got into CS.. I liked HL a bit but not that much. So BF1942 seems to be the game of choice? Gotta check it out

If you have the original UT, you can download the Tactical Ops mod. There's also a seperate standalone version you can buy.

It looks like BF1942 is still around $40 though..
