Been to a Barenaked Ladies concert?

I'm to the age where I can't afford to spend the time or money on "bad" concerts. And I will never again buy lawn seats for anything!

I like these guys but I am wondering what their live shows are like. Obviously the sound quality is dependent upon the venue (tweeter center in Illinois) but I am wondering what to expect from the standpoint of performance, lighting/visuals, energy, etc.

Lemme know what you thought of their shows. Thanks.

These guys put on one helluva show. I have seen them 3 times all of which have been outside. They do not have much in terms of lighting or effects, however their stage presence and audience interaction are absolutely great!

I highly recommend seeing them life!

You are going to have to put up with Alanis Morissette if you go to Tweeter in Chicago...however, my last concert working there will be Sting, so I don't. 🙂

BNL was a great concert. Saw them a few years ago and had a great time. Very animated and played to the crowd. Stage banter and so forth made it enjoyable.

I got robbed....paid $75 for a ticket and the only people on stage were a bunch of guys....no naked nothing, thank god.

🙂

cool band.

very good live, i saw them when i was in HS

i dont like their new stuff so it might not be as good now

I haven't but all of my friends who have seen them once have seen them 4 times. They rave about how much fun the shows are. I should go next time they're here 🙂

Yo,
I've been going to concerts for more than 20 years.

BNL rocks, these guys are hilarious and can really wing it live. They're not simplya studio band, like some other groups.

Have a blast,

saw them on Valentine's Day 2001 in at First Union (now Wachovia) Arena in Wilkes Barre, PA

Very memorable show. Great concert as well as my first date with my g/f 🙂

Saw BNL with Alanis on Wednesday. Show rocked. BNL really puts a hell of a show. I was amazed how much they really rocked.

I have seen them more than 10 times in the past 9+ years.

You definitely won't be wasting your time or money. Highly recommended.

good show. but their venues are gigantor now. might not really be worth it unless its a small place.
if you dig them, the show will be pretty great.
they dont put up a lot of bells and whistles (the most interesting thing ive "seen" there was some home movies being played in the background)
but they do a lot of improv stuff and they know how to make their fans happy.
