i haven't kept up with hardware since i built my pc about 6 months ago. a buddy of mine wants a rig...just wondering which motherboards you guys think are best. should i get a ddr board or what?

Iwill KK266 with a T-bird, say 1 gig makes a nice rig, cheap too.

I'd say wait on the DDR stuff for a while, not much improvement over the current generation of SDRAM mobos, and cost more.

guess it depends how soon he wants to get a new rig, and what he plans to do with it.
