I have been traveling out of country on business and now vacation for nearly a month. I am clueless on where we stand on the debt ceiling issue. I am probably going to pay for my hotel early and withdraw a large quantity of Euros now before the exchange rate has a chance to go to hell.
Otherwise, it would appear to me from overseas that the issue has been completely framed around the need to increase taxes as opposed to a need to decrease spending.
Can anyone please validate this opinion and give me a quick summation of the issue in a paragraph or two?
