Been licked by a giraffe today?

I too have been licked by a giraffe. Their tongues are intriguingly long and their heads much larger close up than they appear from a distance. Giraffe tongues feel like dog tongues except long and almost tubular.

They also seem surprisingly friendly. Though I'm sure this is just in captivity.

Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek Michigan has a nice area set up for feeding and petting giraffes.

I've done it in South Africa. Their tongues are far slimer than I would have expected.

I found riding Elephants in Zimbabwe or petting lion cubs / cheetahs far more worthwhile though.
