Running my E6600 right now but looking to move to a Q6600 soon (might wait for Penryn...)
running 3 HDD's and 1 DVDRW / sound with front panel / 2 or 4 gigs of ram -- everything OC'd of course...have 1 GTX currently but need a new PSU for GTX SLI.

And a large number of fans... (love air cooling in SoCal) I mean like 7-120mm fans (6 case & 1 HSF) / 2-80mm / 1-60mm (ram) / 3- 40mm (SB, NB, Ram) -- I don't have AC so instead of going water I use enough fans to keep temps to something manageable at 30-35c ambient

I spoil myself with the 24" 1920*1200 monitor and really like having eye candy with default resolution / looking at getting a 2nd GTX and have a 2nd PSU to use but think I'd rather go with a single unit solution for stability sake

preference goes to modular units -- post or pm suggestions

Personally I prefer the Decathlon But The Strider is good also...

Modular, and built like a Tank ~~

the strider will power dual GTX's??? with an OC'd quadcore?

not doubting it but the rail split doesn't seem right but i'm open to the fact i'm very wrong

if you are worried about split rails try this

PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750 $200

over your $150 budget...but if you are going to be that picky then you need to look over that budget....

though I think I have seen the Antec Truepower Quattro 850W run on sale for around $150 before.

The Silverstone OP750 seems to be similar to that one and costs a bit less at $170.

Your Cards will use 14.5 Amps each... Each rail is 18 the PSU also has load Balancing... but The Decathlon is single rail.

I also fixed the broken links. sorry about that.

sounds good -- now i gotta figure out why i'm getting random reboots...

I think my new shiny kit of DDR2 doesn't like my subtimings auto set by the bios

it runs fine in memtest though but seems to be iffy in OS unless given that extra bump of voltage...

wrong topic but - I'm off to go GTX hunting and then scavenge for a PSU - I'm leaning towards the SILVERSTONE ST75F and the Antec TPQ-850
