Ok, I've been a couple times, but instead of a joke thread, how about a real one.

Do not tell a cop that you've had 26 beers if he asks you, even if you think that you are safe in the middle of a lake on a houseboat. They will take you to jail.

Do not jaywalk in front of a cop, and then smoke a bunch of cigarettes after he tells you to put it out. Idiot.

Do not drive drunk.

This one is actually good, solid advice, but if you do, do not use the public defender. I knew more about law at 3rd grade than this guy does.

If all else fails, enjoy your stay. Learn some card games. Read a book.

Also...

Do not accelerate up to 109mph on the highway when you have a unmarked "agressive driving unit" behind you in a Lumina that can't keep up...they hate that.

Do not accelerate up to 100mph in a 55mph zone to pas a bunch of slow moving cars when you have a state police officer already behind you with his lights on trying to pull you over for a lane change violation.

Finally, do not race someone from a light with a police car being the car behind you at the light.

Thankfully, I did not get arrested for any of those...but I easily could have.

Thanks for the tips, but common sense has kept me from getting arrested. (well except for when I was a minor, but I wasn't "technically" arrested)

Granted, I am only 22, but my life seems to get less wild with each passing year... Sigh

Don't drive without insurance and hit and old lady then run to Mexico.

I suppose that would have to vary from person to person. My aunt is a public defender, and is damn good at what she does.

When doing over 100 MPH on your tricked out sportbike, do not answer the cop's question, "DO YOU KNOW HOW FAST YOU WERE GOING?!" because his estimate is lower than your actual speed. Trust me. Keep yo mouth shut.

also, don't get such a loud system in your truck that you can't hear a siren if it is right on you ass. They get more pissed each mile you go without seeing them behind you trying to pull you over.

And, if you do get drunk and the police come to remove you from a night club, DO NOT TRY TO HIT ON THE FEMALE COP TRYING TO ARREST YOU!!! It'll only make things worse, trust me!

Always answer a cops question with a question. For example, when he asks how fast you were going, ask him how fast he was going.

If you get pulled over by a black cop never say:
"lawdy, booyy whed u geet dat uniform, massa sho gone bee mad when he fin out watcha been upto, lawd o lawd...."

(yes inapropriate, but would make on hell of a chappell show skit :))
