That's because most people are posting pictures of themselves out in the real world, a spatial state that hardly describes the typical localization of forum users. This is the face you should imagine when you read my posts here:

This is going to sound dumb... But after looking through this thread I really want to switch careers and get into IT now just so I can have facial hair again
